Job 38:1-3

"Then the Lord answered Job out of the storm. He said: 'Who is this that darkens my counsel with words without knowledge? Brace yourself like a man; I will question you, and you shall answer me.'"

It was a time where Job, already plagued with illness, loss of family and posessions, and deepening down into depression, was on the fence with his God. He questioned as to why things were happening this way. Much like we do when things don't go our way, which is more often than not the case. And just who are we to think we know what's best for ourselves? Who are we to question the ultimate plans of God? We're human. We falter. We yearn to know more than we must, to question more than we should.

Eventually, we face a crossroads of faith. Are we to travel down one path, leaning on our own inferior intuition, or will we truly place our trust in the all-knowing God, whose face we cannot see, whose skin we cannot touch, and whose voice we cannot hear?

That's a leap of faith. That's truly bracing yourself like a man.

Are you ready?
